FAQ

1

Who takes care of the council approvals and other paper work?

We do! In some instances you may need to fill out and lodge applications for resource consents personally, however we will tell you what to do and when to do it.

2

How long does it take to get started once we have our certified plans?

It takes approximately ten days to go through local council and we will get started right away for you.

3

How long does the entire build take?

A new house takes approximately 6 months to build depending on the size of the house, the type of job and the weather.

4

Are there any hidden costs?

No, there are no hidden costs! Once the planning stage has been completed, the costing finalised and a contract has been signed - the price is fixed. Everything is specified clearly on the quote and contract prior to work commencing

5

Can we make changes to the plans?

Yes, we want you to have a house that reflects your lifestyle and personality, however once the contract and plans are agreed upon in writing, any changes that you wish to make to the building or materials may incur extra charges.

6

What parts of the build do you do yourselves?

We do everything ourselves with the exception of electrical, plumbing, roofing, cabinets, gyprocking, plastering and painting. We subcontract these services out to reliable, proven, quality contractors and we manage their work to our exacting high standards.

7

Can you take care of driveways, paths, landscaping and other finishing touches?

We can organise as much or as little of a build as you like. We are experts at doing driveways and paths and have a reliable, trustworthy team of partners we manage to our own high standards and can look after landscaping or indoor finishings.
